The Setup List sets no cookies, runs no advertising, and uses no third-party analytics. There is no tracking script on this site. What follows is the complete list of what is recorded.
Browsing pages sets nothing on your device and records nothing about you. No cookie, no local storage, no fingerprinting, no pageview log tied to a person.
Some links to retailers are affiliate links. When you click one, a record is written so we can tell which pages and products are useful. That record contains:
Your IP address is never stored. The visitor identifier is a one-way hash of a secret key, the current date, your IP and your browser's user-agent string. Because the date is part of the input, the same person produces a different identifier tomorrow. It is enough to notice a double-click within a day; it cannot be used to follow anyone over time, and it cannot be reversed into an IP address.
Once you reach the retailer you are on their site, under their privacy policy. Affiliate programmes normally set their own cookie at that point to attribute a sale. That is outside this site's control and is the retailer's to explain.
The correction form on rider profiles stores what you type: the correction, the source URL you provide, the page it concerns, and your email address if you choose to give one. Email is optional, used only to follow up on your correction, and never added to any mailing list. A hashed identifier is kept briefly to stop the form being flooded.
The site runs on a single server in Helsinki, Finland, inside the EU. Its databases are continuously replicated to Cloudflare R2 for backup; click records persist in those backups for 90 days, content backups for 30. DNS is managed by Cloudflare.
Because no personal identifier is stored, there is generally nothing held that could be linked back to you. The exception is an email address voluntarily submitted with a correction — you can ask for that to be deleted at any time and it will be removed.
